Background
Artificial Studios, founded as an indie team in 2001 between Tim Johnson and Jeremy Stieglitz, perhaps most famous for developing the Reality Engine middleware technology purchased by Epic Games in 2005 (press release). Artificial Studios is also the game developer behind the acclaimed Reality Engine-based CellFactor: Combat Training and Monster Madness. Artificial Studios's "team" were ultimately subsumed by Ignition Entertainment in late 2007, under guise of their new studio, Ignition Florida.
